Reed is a licensed architect with nearly 40 years of experience in the design and construction industry. Reed’s primary responsibilities have included Project Designer, Programmer/Planner and Client Leader, focused on Higher Education, Civic and Military/Department of Defense projects. He also has extensive experience in Project Management and Construction Administration.

Reed has spent the last 30 years specializing in the programming, planning and design of award-winning sports, recreation, wellness and athletic facilities for municipalities and higher education institutions, helping communities and campuses create environments that promote physical and mental well-being and human performance. Reed brings in-depth knowledge in the programmatic, functional, and technical aspects of sports and recreation facilities to every project, along with a focus on the exploration of design innovation and program evolution.

Reed has been at the forefront of recreation facility planning and design by continually searching for innovative solutions to common norms. His successes are attributed to a highly inclusive, collaborative, and interactive approach he brings to each project, coupled with his ability to coalesce seemingly disparate elements into creative yet logical solutions. He is a problem solver.

Reed’s projects have won numerous AIA awards and industry design awards. He has delivered presentations at national, regional, and state conferences and has contributed to sports publications on topics related to sports technology, facility design and innovation.
